It’s my fourth year of Ph.D. candidacy and I finally got a paper accepted by Journal of Applied Physics by American Institute of Physics. It’s not the top journal in physics field but it still have many good articles on it. An accepted paper means my research is kind of useful and new for other researchers. That’s a great encouragement for me. And more, I need 4 published papers to graduate so I can make a check mark on the list. I don’t think I am a good researcher or say scientist or physicist. But at least I complete a challenge, so it’s good for me.

It’s an English paper so I think my English is acceptable for scientific publications. I would like to thank quanl for his great help in improving the text. I try to write some posts in English here but generally it’s not so well checked. But I will try my best to make myself understood.

I told my parents about this and they are very happy. I also told them the paper is about some very specific things and may not have actually use in real life (well, most of scientific papers are). And of course they don’t know what it is about because they don’t read English. But it’s a journal of American Institute of Physics, that’s a huge place.

博士第四年才有一篇接收的文章不能算是很早，可对我来说能够开胡总是一件值得庆祝的事情。我不打算成为一名研究人员，或者科学家，物理学家，但能够在美国物理研究所主办的《应用物理杂志》上留个名，总算也说明我的学没有白上。我不打算这个博士半途而废，虽然这个学位或许对我来说没有什么实际的用处。另外，要毕业我们要发表四篇论文，现在还有三篇了，哦吔。

不得不说用英语写论文是非常痛苦的事情，本来写论文就是提笔不知从何写起，更何况想说什么还不知道怎么写才正确。照葫芦画瓢总是没错的，我基本上只敢照着论文上的句子，词典上的例句写，如果不是这样的话，就要把拿不准的说法放到google上加上引号搜，拉到几百万个老外垫背才敢用。当然第一次还是被鄙视了，审稿人说，我看你不是打小说英语的吧，找个说纯种伦敦腔的给你改改。我上哪找去，于是找了个勾到美国老婆的同学(quanl)帮我看，在他的改正下，第二次老外就同意接收了，当然不排除老外看了之后觉得凑和着就这么着吧，来回拉锯太麻烦的想法。

消息来了之后我就跟家里说了，老爸还给我作了一首打油诗。能发论文的人千千万，可是咱儿子能发隔壁那儿子发不了，这就是骄傲，美国物理研究所啊。他们不会英语，看不懂论文是啥，其实就算会英语的也未必能懂，我们系的能看懂的也不多。所以我还是想做一些大家能看懂的东西，像画画和图标
